The first quarter of 2021 presented an interesting landscape for arcade racing enthusiasts in the United States on the Android platform. Sensor Tower provides us with a detailed look at how five major players performed during this period.

Need for Speed™ No Limits by ELECTRONIC ARTS showed a revenue trend that started at around $93K in the last week of December and peaked at $132K towards the end of March. The downloads slightly declined from about 30K to 27K in the same time frame, while weekly active users showed a dip from 128K to around 124K.

Gameloft SE's Asphalt 9: Legends experienced a revenue fluctuation, starting at approximately $63K and reaching a high of $67K mid-March before settling at $50K by the quarter's end. Downloads for the game saw a decrease from 33K to 22K, and weekly active users also saw a downward trend from 81K to 65K.

From Hutch Games, Rebel Racing saw its revenue begin at about $23K, with an increase to $28K by the end of March. The game's downloads halved from 22K to 16K, while weekly active users decreased from 133K to 110K.

Asphalt 8 - Car Racing Game, another title from Gameloft SE, had revenues starting at $14K and slightly increasing to $13K by March. Downloads began at 32K and saw a decrease to 19K, with weekly active users dropping from 67K to 54K.

Lastly, CarX Drift Racing 2 by CarX Technologies, LLC, started the quarter with revenues around $14K and ended at about $12K. Downloads saw a peak of 9.8K in late January, but ultimately fell to 5.4K, and weekly active users began at 17.5K, peaking at 20.2K before declining to 13.7K.
